ABA Job Description
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT
BASIC FUNCTION
The Immediate Past President plays an important role in the affairs of the ABA, using his/her experience as a consultant.
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT QUALIFICATIONS
1. Be willing to use past experience to consult with the President and assist in any manner he/she requests.

Current Procedures
Immediate Past President
1. Attend all meetings of the Corporation, the Executive Board, and the Executive Committee.
2. Respond to President's letters requesting a vote or response to correspondence requiring an Executive Board decision and send copies of replies to Executive Board members.
3. When requested, assist and advise the President.
4. Provide names to the Nominating Committee of members for appointments to committees and of members qualified as candidates for ABA officer positions.
5. Conduct the installation of the newly elected officers at convention.
6. Remit to Treasurer all expenses, with receipts, when the job is completed but no later than end of fiscal year, March 31st. Committees whose budgets are large, remit expenses with receipts for payment periodically and send in any remaining expense no later than end of fiscal year, March 31st.
