Dear_________:

Thank you for volunteering to serve the ABA as  ______________.  Your time and effort are very much appreciated!  As ABA’s Job Description Committee, we are writing today to explain to you our responsibilities.  Simply put, our committee’s job is to keep the ABA Job Descriptions current.  We are not asking you for any input at this time.  The purpose of this letter is simply to let you know that we will be calling upon you for help later on in the year.

In January, we will be contacting you again regarding the position you hold within the ABA.  If you have not already done so, please review your job description.  You will find the most current version on the ABA website.  To find this, go to www.AmericanBell.org and click on “ABA Organization” on the bottom left-hand side.  Then click “Job Descriptions” and scroll down to find your job description.  Click on the link and yours will appear.

It is essential to have an up-to-date job description for your job.  You are allowed to make changes in the procedures.  You may also think some of the responsibilities or procedures are out of date and should be changed.  We encourage you to suggest changes to the Job Description Committee at any time.  Please make sure to note any additions, deletions, typos, inconsistencies, or clarifications.

If you received a folder or binder from you predecessor, please make sure the most recent job description from the ABA website is in your binder.

Please contact (Job Description Committee Chairman) at (email address) if you have any questions.

Best regards,

The ABA Job Description Committee
